Ok people! You probably saw the results from the last time I challenged myself to 60 days of Pure Barre at least 3-4 days per week. If not check it out here. This time I am training for the Denver Half Marathon, on September 8th. This will be my second half marathon. When I trained for the first one, I completely stopped going to Pure Barre and just focused on running. I have to tell you that my body didn't look nearly as good as it did when I did my Pure Barre 60 day challenge. So this time around I am going to work on a balance between my training and Pure Barre. I posted a training schedule at the beginning of June, which I only half-heartedly followed. So my sweet husband, who also happened to do his very first marathon during his first Ironman Triathlon, set me up with a new training schedule starting next Monday. I am running and doing barre this week though, on a schedule similar to where this one starts.
Here is my schedule. I will take some before pictures tonight and post those tomorrow and follow up with my blog on how it's going!

YES! I just started training for a half but don't want to give up Barre (which is new to me). So thankful to see you created a training plan. I will be following it for sure.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Alison!!! What half are you doing? I did my first half last year and didn't do any PB while training and I didn't maintain any of the tone that I had at the end of my 60 days. It's amazing what Pure Barre does to change your body!
DeleteI have been doing PB for a year. I am using your plan to train for the Glass Slipper Challenge @ Walt Disney World next month. I am very excited to have both running and PB together. Thanks for putting this together and publishing.
ReplyDeleteThat's SO exciting!!!! I actually just started back up with PB and I am not training for a half but I am running three times a week. It definitely helps to get the results you want faster when you mix in the cardio. Please come back and let me know how the Glass Slipper Challenge goes! Good luck!
